I'm only 20 and everytime I go into Liquid i feel like i'm the oldest person there. It is an absolute disgrace the amount of underagers they let in there honestly. Not to mention that everytime you're in it's like a Portlethen Academy reunion.
Oh and then you get the girls who reckon there cage dancers and they're all dressed the same jumping about in the cages.
Oh and something else that really REALLY annoys me aboutthat place is the fact that everytime you ask for a song he never plays. I have worked in heaps of nightclubs and I know the up to date music. Yet ironically he'll play songs like "I predict a riot" or songs by the Hoosiers and Franz Ferdinand and all that. I mean don't get me wrong I do like that sort of music but not in a nightclub thats supposed to play dance music downstairs.
Don't even get me started on the entry fee. It's totally totally DISGUSTING. I mean fair neough charge alot onthe door but don't then charge really expensive drink prices. Afterall, if most of your clientel are underagers, how are they going to save up enough pocket money to buy a drink?

Strict door staff?? you must be joking! i've never seen more school children in one place. and that includes school. Mocking aside, the bar staff are nice and polite, if you'll notice there are only ever 2 or 3 staff on each little bar, so its hardly a surprise it takes a while to get served considering how rammed the place is. Upstairs is definitely better, much better music and a more comfortable atmosphere. Good if you want to go dance like an idiot, which in my opinion is the only way to dance. Though i can never shake the feeling that im constantly being judged while on the premesis...
Really great place for a night out, close enough to belmont street . 80 p drinks on thursays are a must. Great music, a good clientele due to the strict doormen & dress code. Strongly recommend going here. However, dont expect to get served your drinks quickly, the bar staff are a little slow on it but apart from that .. an excellent venue
An excellent place for STUDENTS but is a bit pricey. All the latest tunes Along with some classics thrown in & upstairs In my opinion is the best of the two areas, with some classic 70's 80's & 90's. Just a shame the dj's wont play any songs u request & the floor is a bit on the sticky side....... A great place to end a good night........
The Aberdeen area has seen human settlement for at least 8,000 years. The city began as two separate burghs: Old Aberdeen and New Aberdeen
